Why Good article?
If you have a look at Mid February 2011 data, there were whooping 156 million blogs in the existence. And the bloggers have the blog posts or the articles on an average every week. But let's take in consideration every one published every month. So we will have monthly 156 million new articles every month which comes to 5.2 million new articles everyday. Now, let's remove the only picture posts as well as only embed posts. If you take out 65% (which is very high percentage for calculation), still you have 1.82 new articles being published on daily basis. Do you still need any justification why your article should be a good one to swim in the search engines ocean on top and should get good reviews and comments. If your bread and butter is entirely focused on blog or website, it becomes really important for you to deliver good article (or no article). Because you can create you readers base which is good for great income. So, let's see how you can write an article which can really be called a good article.1) Content was king, now SEO content is the new king:
If you are in blogging you must have come across a saying that CONTENT IS KING. And that is really true, search engines prefer the blog and sites which are publishing more often. So, a site publishing every month will be less important for Google compared to daily updated blog. But, there are millions of sites which are daily updated...!!! So, you will have to get ahead that race in the race as well.
Try to post on regular interval like at least one article every week. And make sure you have proper SEO aspects taken care in that article. Good article has a specified keyword and it's content is based upon it. Have ideal keyword density (1-2%), have keyword in your meta description, SEO title, URL. Also have your keyword in first para of the post. Get a back-link from a genuine source (Remember Google hates paid back-links).
Few people take content as part of the SEO, but content was well there before the SEO was introduced. And also if you keep on posting 10 posts a day with no meaningful words it is not going to make any sense. That is also content, non-meaningful though.
2) Simplicity is the best publicity:
Try to be as simple as possible when you write your articles. You might have enough knowledge to have a 10 hour seminar on that subject. But, please keep in mind that you have some basic users and intermediate users too. If everyone dealing with blogging was a computer engineer, we might not have seen the concept of blogging. People visit your site as they are there to learn something, so write your article in a way that it start from basic concept and have detailed information in it.Same way try to have that simplicity in formatting of your article as well. Keep the fonts and other things in a way that it is not distracting your visitor. It has been found that most successful blogs have plain white background and the posts there are easy and written in basic English. Google and other search engines also take into consideration the easiness of your content when they rank them.
3) Nobody is interested why you went to Switzerland, unless you are a celebrity
Please don't make your blog too much personalized, unless it is a personal or family blog and intended for that purpose only. People hate when they saw posts like "How I made 2000$ in three days". Same topic could have been used as "Making 50$ per day on Adsense is Easy".Also, never add any false info in your blog. Some people are writing articles on how they made so and so much money in only a week or month. Their sole intention is to promote the affiliate links within those article. But a good article is all about fact. If you have given false info and if that is found by visitor; he will might well stop trusting your words.
4) Good article is free of typo and grammar errors
Always have a thorough checks for typos and grammar errors in your article. These errors lead to doubt creation in reader's mind about your credibility. Good article, as we said, is simple English and simple formatting. If you follow that step you will prone to have less errors.Some people have habit of using hard vocabulary in the article. But, no one likes to check the meaning of words when they are reading something. So, stay easy and you will have less mistakes. 5) Write for money but not only money
We all write for money, or money is someway associated in our articles. But please don't make your articles look like they are literally begging for the affiliated links to be clicked or affiliated jungle with so many links in all the articles. Instead write a good article on the same niche as that of your affiliated product. Your CTR can be much higher if your article is informative. Informative does not mean telling good and hiding the bad things. Give all the pros and cons which you might feel can affect your visitor. If the article is not bias and if the visitor feels the pros are outweighing the cons, you will surely get clicked on.These were 5 essential things to consider for good article writing.
